“You’ll seldom experience regret for anything that you’ve done. It is what you haven’t done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it.” — Wayne W. Dyer

Is there a Formula for Failure? Lesson from Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “Your Sacred Self”
Dr. Wayne Dyer also known as “father of motivation” by his fans has written more than 40 books in the field of self–development. I am currently reading his “Your Sacred Self” and right in the start of this wonderful book a formula for failure jumped out at me. I would love to share this with you.

“You get treated in life the way you teach people to treat you.” — Wayne W. Dyer

As per Dr. Wayne Dyer there is not one single formula for success. Every successful person finds his /her own path to achieve the desired results. But when it comes to failure he does mention a formula which all of us should be aware of so that we can make sure we are not on the path of failure.

“Formula for Failure: Trying to please everyone and ignoring our inner impulse.”

Don’t we fall into the rut to make everyone around us happy? Even when our inner voice the intelligence that has baffled science for centuries tells us to let go or do something which will actually add value to your life or will put us a step closer to our desire.

Why are we so eager to be people pleasers? Why the opinion of others is more important than our inner impulse? Do you feel the same? Do you silent your inner impulse just because you think you will not get others approval?

“I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I’m not.” — Wayne W. Dyer

Think about it. The creator has made us different. Every individual is unique. Even identical twins have a different personality, different dreams and of course a different destiny. So there is really no point in trying to fit in a perfection mold.

Our inner impulse always leads us towards fulfilling our destiny or towards our calling. We need to make our mind quite to listen to this voice so remove the noise of others. Try to give less importance to what others say or think and try to listen to your inner voice.

It is almost impossible to make everyone happy. It makes more sense to find a path that takes you to your dreams while serving others. Not the other way around.

“Enjoying life is far superior to being graded on your performance in life.” — Wayne W. Dyer
