Why we need to be careful of what we say after the words “I Am”.

A Christmas gift at the end of the post.

“I Am That I Am” are considered sacred words as it is the response what Moses got when he asked God for his name. Spiritual speakers like Wayne Dyer, Pastor Joel Osteen and many more have highlighted the power of the words “I Am” in shaping our future. Dr. Wayne Dyer explains that the words “I Am” are sacred identification of God so we should be very cautious when we use these words in our day today life.

I am

I am

“The words I AM are your sacred identification as God- your highest self. Take care how you use this terms because saying anything after I AM that’s incongruent with God is really taking the Lord’s name in vain!” — Wayne W. Dyer

As per Pastor Joel Osteen the words “I Am” are magnetic and whatever we put after “I Am” comes looking for us. Whatever we say after the words “I Am” we invite that in our life.

Let us take a look at our thoughts; what do we mostly say or think after “I Am” in our regular phrases. Do we say “I Am Sick,” “I Am Tired”, “I Am Depressed,” “I Am Fed up,” “I Am Scrapping by,” “I Am Broke,” “I Am Lonely,” or do we think the exact opposite.

When you get up and see yourself in the mirror what are your first thoughts. “I Am looking so old,” or “I Am so fat,” or do you say “I Am always late,”

Take an honest test of your thoughts and answer this question. Is your life attracting exactly what you say after “I Am” or this spiritual law does not apply to you. Take your time start keeping check of your thoughts and spoken words and note if they actually become a reality in your life.

If this spiritual law works in your life I have amazing good news for you. You can shape your own future and your own life. Just get extremely conscious about your words. Never say or think anything negative about you and while you are at it why to think anything negative about others too. Just remove every negative thought and word from your life.

Make a list of affirmations that means a lot to you starting with “I Am” and read it in the morning after you get up, at night before you sleep and if you like read it whenever you get time during the day. Play it like a song in your head. Even if the affirmations are not true (yet) you should always use present tense to set the positive forces in motions.

I have mentioned some affirmations starting with the sacred, magical, magnetic words “I Am” in my post – Create A Better Tomorrow with Pre-Sleep Visualization

“I am well,”
“I am content,”
“I am lucky,”
“I am rich,”
“I am strong,”

Clarity is the First Step towards Success

Since my last post – Is there a Formula for Failure? Lesson from Dr. Wayne Dyer’s ‘Your Sacred Self’ I felt like I told half of a story. In that, post we discussed how to avoid failures and the next question that popped up my mind was “Is there a formula for success?”

Clarity is the First Step towards Success

Clarity is the First Step towards Success

I have read a lot of material on success and goal setting. From all the great books I read I learned that there is not a single path to success. Successful people find or if required build their own road to achieve their dreams. Well I don’t have a formula for success (yet) but I do know one thing for sure that is the First Step towards Success is Clarity.

“The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.” -Bruce Lee

We think about our present status and all the current hurdles which dilutes our focus and as a results we lack clarity. Just as the Sun’s brightness gets covered with clouds we lose sight of our goals when temporary problems cross our way or worse we start giving more importance to these problems then our goals.

I agree it is hard to stay enthusiastic about our goals when life throws unexpected difficulties. In such conditions the only question that matters is “How serious are you about your goals?”

“It’s a lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration. Those emotions are poison to any living goal.” — Steve Maraboli

Create in your mind such a precise picture about your successful life that you feel you have already achieved it. Let the vision pull you towards the beautiful life you want. Make your mind habitual towards the successful life you are striving for. Give your subconscious mind a glimpse of what you want so it can start working with you to achieve the dream life.

“We would do well to remember that the success of any struggle depends on the determination of its leaders and the clarity of its purpose, not the doubts of naysayers.” — Saree Makdisi

Most of the time we lose sight of our goals is when we think about other opinions over our inner voice. Many dreams are scarified because people are too concerned about disappointing others. It is sad that people would rather be where they are for the rest of their life then take risks. Getting mocked is people’s biggest fear and I think that’s what differentiates successful people from unsuccessful ones.

One cannot achieve success without stepping out of the comfort zone even if there is a risk of failing or getting mocked by others. We need to clear our thoughts about our own goal and not confuse with what others expect us to do or be.

“People who lack the clarity, courage, or determination to follow their own dreams will often find ways to discourage yours. When you change for the better, the people around you will be inspired to change also….but only after doing their best to make you stop. Live your truth and don’t EVER stop.” — Steve Maraboli

Before you start working on any of your goals you need to ask questions like:

. What exactly do I want?

. Where do I want to reach?

. What am I ready to give or do to reach this goal?

. Where do I see myself in the future?

If you have a clear goal then and only then you can start your journey on the path of success. It is simple (I do not mean easy) to achieve even the toughest goal if you have a clear picture about what exactly you want. Without clarity we make things complicated and delay our success.

Is there a Formula for Failure? Lesson from Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “Your Sacred Self”

“You’ll seldom experience regret for anything that you’ve done. It is what you haven’t done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it.” — Wayne W. Dyer

Is there a Formula for Failure? Lesson from Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “Your Sacred Self”

Is there a Formula for Failure? Lesson from Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “Your Sacred Self”

Dr. Wayne Dyer also known as “father of motivation” by his fans has written more than 40 books in the field of self–development. I am currently reading his “Your Sacred Self” and right in the start of this wonderful book a formula for failure jumped out at me. I would love to share this with you.

“You get treated in life the way you teach people to treat you.” — Wayne W. Dyer

As per Dr. Wayne Dyer there is not one single formula for success. Every successful person finds his /her own path to achieve the desired results. But when it comes to failure he does mention a formula which all of us should be aware of so that we can make sure we are not on the path of failure.

“Formula for Failure: Trying to please everyone and ignoring our inner impulse.”

Don’t we fall into the rut to make everyone around us happy? Even when our inner voice the intelligence that has baffled science for centuries tells us to let go or do something which will actually add value to your life or will put us a step closer to our desire.

Why are we so eager to be people pleasers? Why the opinion of others is more important than our inner impulse? Do you feel the same? Do you silent your inner impulse just because you think you will not get others approval?

“I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I’m not.” — Wayne W. Dyer

Think about it. The creator has made us different. Every individual is unique. Even identical twins have a different personality, different dreams and of course a different destiny. So there is really no point in trying to fit in a perfection mold.

Our inner impulse always leads us towards fulfilling our destiny or towards our calling. We need to make our mind quite to listen to this voice so remove the noise of others. Try to give less importance to what others say or think and try to listen to your inner voice.

It is almost impossible to make everyone happy. It makes more sense to find a path that takes you to your dreams while serving others. Not the other way around.

“Enjoying life is far superior to being graded on your performance in life.” — Wayne W. Dyer

Paulo Coelho’s ‘The Alchemist’ Reminds me to Listen to My Heart

The Alchemist

Paulo Coelho’s ‘The Alchemist’

I have read mixed reviews about Paulo Coelho’s most famous novel “The Alchemist” some call it life changing while others find it too simple. For me it is a very much needed reminder to listen to my .

Today we are too busy planning big tasks and conquering battles in every field of our life. Work life balance is become our biggest fantasy or something that has lost its way in the past. In our crazy hectic schedule were very duty is performed like an impossible mission a smooth read like “The Alchemist” takes us on a journey to find the treasure of our life.

It forces us to calm down and look around for messages from the higher self mentioned in the book as omens. We are too busy to run like a hamster on its wheel whole day 5 or 6 days a week and the rest days at the end of the week are spent to regain the energy to fight the never ending war next week then next and so on.

“Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.” — Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist)

Paulo Coelho reminds us to understand where our heart is. What is it longing for? In what does it feel happiness? Where ever your heart takes you, you will find your treasure. This can be actual in form of wealth, relationship, happiness or anything that you earn after finding your calling and respecting your heart’s cravings. Find a peaceful place, stay calm, breath very slowly and deeply, close your eyes and try to quite your mind. Now try to listen to your heart. What do you think it is interested in? What gives it immense happiness and satisfaction? I am sure you know it till now but if you are confused a meditation exercise can help.

“Don’t give in to your fears. If you do, you won’t be able to talk to your heart.” — Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist)

Most of us cannot follow our heart because of fear. Fear of failing or fear of disappointing others, fear of the unknown or fear of moving out of our comfort zone. As a part of being a grownup we lose our child like curiosity, our sense of adventure, become restless and get scared of dreaming big.

As a grownup we try to fit in the surrounding and try to follow some rules even if they do not benefit us. When we suppress our heart desires for a long time it stops communicating with us. Our heart is our only source to connect with the higher self or the wisdom that runs the whole universe. Don’t suppress its voice to make someone else happy.
Your calling or interest is a big part of your destiny. Understand the language of your heart and something magical will happen. Life will become smoother and sweeter. The resistance you face in your daily grind will become weaker making it easier for you to enjoy the journey called life.

“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second’s encounter with God and with eternity.” — Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist)

If you are looking for a way to connect to your heart’s desire this book can help you by taking you on a journey you will never forget. You want to go on that adventure again and again and who knows may be it will encourage you to find your own adventure.

I admire the #SheInspires initiative of Jabong.com that recognizes and celebrates the spirit and journey of inspiring women. I am thankful to Jabong.com for this opportunity to write about my journey as a woman blogger. My blog The Vibrant Writer (www.thevibrantwriter.com) is about Weight Loss, Health, Beauty, Wealth, Spirituality and Happiness.

The Vibrant Writer (www.thevibrantwriter.com) is about in all aspects of life. I am a student of life and nature. Through my blog I share my findings with anyone who is interested in the same. It gives me immense pleasure if my research plays a part in enriching any of my readers’ life even if it makes a small positive impact. My blog started as a self rescue plan and gradually developed into a launching pad for my writing career and much more.

A decade back I moved to Mumbai when I started my career as a marketing manager with India’s largest private bank. The job and commute demanded most of my waking time of the day. I avoided my health and personal time for 4 continuous years keeping my job as a priority. It had a very adverse effect on my health. Unhealthy and irregular eating habits, lots of fast food consumption, lack of exercise, stress and long sitting hours created hormonal imbalance due to which I gained a lot of weight.

My job was still a priority to me and I could not give any special time or attention to any obesity related health issues. I felt like I got a wakeup call when my knees gave up on me. My knees would lock in a stiff position and would not let me move. This scared me especially in the long commutes of Mumbai. Doctors suggested surgery but I was completely against it.

In just 4 years of my career I had to choose between health and money. I am very glad I choose health and resigned from my very well paying job. To make my knees strong again I completely depended upon Naturopathy Treatments, Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicines and Massages. Today I am happy to say my knees and overall health is better than ever and that also without any surgery or allopathic medicines and its nasty side effects.

In my Blog I write about all these natural cures and treatments. After making my knees stronger I concentrated on weight loss in a healthy, natural and safe way. No crash diets, shakes or crazy experiments for me. I started writing about weight loss in my blog before I had any results. Since I started my blog I lost 40 pounds (I need to lose more to reach my ideal weight). This was another successful experiment to prove that health depends highly on our positive attitudes and belief system. Mind is a big section on my blog because I am a believer in power of mind over all aspects of our life.

My blog has helped me keep a record of all natural and effective solutions to health and life problems. My blog helps me share these with the world. This makes a compulsion on me to keep my health on track. It also helped me rekindle my passion for writing which encouraged me to take up various writing assignments including my upcoming books.

I am grateful to my blog for giving me a chance to engage my time and energy into a creative and constructive project. I am grateful as it has given me hope and a sense of belonging which I craved after quitting my job. I do not complain about my health issues in the past as without them I would have not turned to a healthy and better way of living. If I could change any part of my past I would just start my blog earlier.
