Get Natural and Stop Putting Toxins on Your Skin

Chemicals are a big part of our life. They find their way in our house, in our cars and even in our body. Knowingly or unknowingly we are layering up harmful toxins on our skin. People are obsessed with their looks not only women but even men are liberally using chemical rich cosmetics for a younger and attractive skin.

As life goes on most women or girls get so occupied with their ever increasing responsibilities that they start neglecting themselves. Slowly this neglect starts reflecting on their face with multiple problems like discoloration, wrinkles, age spots, dullness, dryness and makes us look years older.

Suddenly one fine day we realize our mistake and buy the most expensive skin treatment we can afford. Of course we want to believe in those tempting advertisements in which just with a touch of the magic cream or serum we’ll get our youth back. After spending a fortune on these so called miracle treatments we still look the same just with lighter wallets.

If you go for an expensive chemical treatment and end up with just not getting the promised results without any side effects you can consider yourself lucky as most women end up regretting the permanent damage they caused to their delicate skin.

One should never forget that our skin is a living organ and not just some dead tissue. We should be very careful about what we put on our skin. I try to make sure that most of the products I apply on my skin are natural in fact most of them are edible. I follow my Grandma’s rule – “If you cannot put it in your mouth don’t put it on your skin.” This rule makes it very clear that one should avoid harmful chemicals that are poisonous to our skin.

Indian women put the worst kind of poison on their skin and hair in the name of Sindoor. Don’t get me wrong I am not against applying Sindoor but want to inform you the dangerous side effects of the red chemical that is sold in the name of Sindoor. We need to be aware that the Sindoor we are buying is not lead based or any other harmful chemical but is natural Kumkum/ Vermilion.

Two simple tips to check if the Kumkum is pure:

1. When you rub Kumkum between two fingers it should feel soft, smooth and not rough,

2. When you sprinkle a pinch of Kumkum in a cup of water it should float and not sink.

Natural ingredients like Kumkum also known as Vermilion or Red Sandalwood (Rakht Chandan) are completely safe and easily available. Natural Sindoor gives a cooling effect hence it is applied on the head and also in-between the eyebrows i.e. the location of our Third Eye Chakra. This chakra encourages overall good health, clear thinking and focus.

I want to encourage you to take regular care of yourself in a natural, safe and effective way. Nature is abundant with ingredients that can make us radiant and beautiful. You will find some of these ingredients in my latest book Simple Natural Homemade Beauty Masks that Work Free download only for few days.

Positive Permanent Changes – Part 1 – Understanding our Mind

Lights of ideas
Positive Permanent Changes – Part 1 – Understanding our MindSaad Faruque / Foter / CC BY-SA

Our mind is more or less like the most complicated and most advance computer ever built. In fact calling our mind a computer is an understatement but due to lack of a better word I dared to do the comparison.

Many scientists and speakers have tried to explain our mind by giving the example of an iceberg. There is a very good reason for this and that is the design of an iceberg comes very close while explaining the two parts of our mind – the conscious mind and the subconscious also known as unconscious mind.

Well our conscious mind is ever learning and ever changing as it adapts and understands the changes around us. It deals with logical explanation and thinking. When it comes to mind our conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg. It is the only part that we can change as frequent as required. We can update or if required make changes in it easily with some minimal efforts.

On the other hand our subconscious mind is the bulkier part of the iceberg. Everything we do to live or survive is programmed in our subconscious mind. We do not have to think logically about how to breathe or eat or walk or sleep as all is taken care by our subconscious mind. Our bodily functions run on auto pilot because of our subconscious mind. Just imagine how hard our life would be if we would consciously try to breathe or talk or walk or do everything we so easily and smoothly do on autopilot; we might not survive a day.

Once our subconscious mind learns a new skill or develops a new habit it is as good as set in stone. Evolution has rewarded us with a rigid and stubborn subconscious mind.

“Our subconscious side is more interesting than the logic one because we are not subtotals to any problem at all.” — Frustiente

Our subconscious mind gets programmed in our early years with help of our parents, teachers and surroundings we learn our basics skills to live a normal life. This becomes our key foundation for our existence. In this same period we also get lots of beliefs engraved in our subconscious mind. Beliefs those are important for our family, community, nation or the entire world. I have mentioned engraved here as it is difficult to change belief that is set in our subconscious mind. These beliefs give us our identity and our personality. These beliefs shape our future as our thoughts are highly dominated by our rooted beliefs.

We can always see a lot of similarity among people’s preferences when they have common beliefs. This concept is explained in detail in great books like Think and Grow Rich, Science of Getting Rich, Richest Man in Babylon or Rich Dad Poor Dad.”

Having an immovable subconscious mind is a good idea if we are thinking about beliefs, skills and habits that are beneficial for us but what if our mind has deep settled beliefs and habits that are self sabotaging? Is it possible to change some of our beliefs or habits for good? Can we reprogrammed our stubborn subconscious mind as we want? The good news is “Yes we can.”

It is a slow process but with patience and efforts we surely can make a positive permanent change in our subconscious mind. Well this will take a whole new post so let’s talk about this in the next post “Positive Permanent Changes – Part 2 – How Our Mind Learns”

A Creative World – The Artist’s Way of Life

A Creative World – The Artist’s Way of Life

A Creative World – The Artist’s Way of Life

Do you believe in God? For years I believed God to be a passionate artist or else how would you explain the vibrant beautiful world around us. How would you explain different colors, sounds, tastes and texture that nature splashes so abundantly. God is incredibly creative; isn’t he? How do you see God; as a passionate artist or a crazy scientist?

“Creativity is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift to God.” — Bob Moawad

Albert Einstein is my favorite genius not just because he was an amazing scientist but a firm believer in imagination and mind’s creative power in the intuitive mind. Einstein’s above quote clearly mentions “The intuitive mind as a sacred gift.” Without it there would not be any discoveries. Everything we enjoy today was an imagination or a dream of a brilliant visionary.

God and Humans who are created in his image are all artists even the crazy scientists. An artist or a scientist is not different from each other. They both get possessed with their passion or work.

“Our vocation and professional work is not a second class activity, something we do just to put food on the table. It is the high calling for which we were originally created. The way we serve a Creator God is by being creative with the talents and gifts He has given us.” — Nancy Pearcey (Total Truth)

If you want are interested in enhancing your craft or exploring your creative side you can read a wonderful book called “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron; which is a full course in connecting with the higher creative energy. This book can awaken an artist within anyone even if you think you don’t have a creative side you will be surprised to find out your true nature.

I am glad to give a peek in Julia extraordinary work. Every principle is a quote to remember especially if you are an artist trying to find your place in this rational world.

“Basic Principles:

1. Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy.

2. There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life — including ourselves.

3. When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to the creator’s creativity within us and our lives.

4. We are, ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves.

5. Creativity is God’s gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God.

6. The refusal to be creative is self-will and is counter to our true nature.

7. When we open ourselves to exploring our creativity, we open ourselves to God: good orderly direction.

8. As we open our creative channel to the creator, many gentle but powerful changes are to be expected.

9. It is safe to open ourselves up to greater and greater creativity.

10. Our creative dreams and yearnings come from a divine source. As we move toward our dreams, we move toward our divinity.” — Julia Cameron

Best Money Advice – The Richest Man in Babylon.

 The Richest Man in Babylon

The Richest Man in Babylon

Money is the most confused necessity of life. We grow up with such mixed teachings and suggestions about money that by the time we start earning we are not sure how to invest it wisely.

The lack of clarity about money is the main reason, why most of us do not understand how to grow our finances or get out of debt and even after earning our whole life we still find it hard to have a comfortable nest egg for life after retirement.

“The Richest Man in Babylon” is one of those very few books who have successfully uncomplicated money matters for the readers. The author of this book George S. Clason has given very simple instructions about how to live a wealthy life. This book was first published in 1926 the advice is very much relevant for today’s generation.

I found this book extremely easy to follow. If you want to improve your financial condition and your habits related to money and you get dizzy when you try to read the complicated financial books with lots of charts and tables I suggest you start with this simple and engaging book like I did.

There are many more books that can further help you on your way to abundance like Think and Grow Rich, Rich Dad Poor Dad or The Science of Getting Rich and similar treasures you should collect.

One of the Teachings from The Richest Man in Babylon: 7 cures for a lean purse:

1. Start keeping 10% of all you earn:

“Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.” — Epictetus

The book suggests “A part of all I earn is mine to keep”. Pay yourself first at least 10% of all you earn. You can increase this to 20% or more as you go along in this financial journey. Always pay yourself first no matter how little or lot you earn.

2. Control your expenses:

“Too many people spend money they earned; to buy things they don’t want; to impress people that they don’t like.” — Will Rogers.

Budget your expenses. Spend less than 90% of income. As you pay yourself 10% you have to control your expenses within remaining 90%. Today we are surrounded with so much temptation to spend more than we earn by using credit or instalments or what not but we must not blindly fall prey to the luring advertisements and buy things we don’t need.

If we do have to buy some lifestyle products that have become a necessity in today’s world then I highly suggest you keep a check on discounts and sales that slash down the price low enough for us to enjoy the luxury within a budget.

I recently stumbled upon an amazing website called CupoNation which has so many great deals and coupons that can help you get lifestyle products at a very affordable price. This website is definitely a great way to save a lot of money as it is filled with many options of sales and discounts.

3. Make the money work and it’s children work:

So what to do with the 10% you pay yourself. Well invest it wisely. Take advice from someone who is good with investments. Please never consult someone about investments who is bad with their own money.

When you get returns from these investments called as your money’s children in this book make them work too. Keep on investing the 10% and it’s children so you can create multiple streams of wealth flowing towards you.

4. Secure the investment:

Most people are scared to invest money as they fear they may lose it all. With proper study we can find safe options to invest. Start small and be safe. Study opportunities in details. Don’t take risk. Invest only where the principle is safe. I cannot say this enough take advice from someone who knows about investments.

5. Own my home:

This is the most difficult cure for a lean purse as the property rates have gone so high that it seems almost impossible to be a homeowner especially in the city of Mumbai where I am based but this goal should be a priority in our mind. Try to achieve this goal as soon as possible.

6. Prepare for the future:

“The lack of money is the root of all evil.” — Mark Twain

Provide in advance. Keep a small investment every week or month regularly for old age. Invest in properties that will grow in value for the future.

7. Desire to become rich:

Make a burning desire to become wealthy. Sharpen your skills. Increase your ability of your craft. No matter what your work is there should always be progress so that the streams of income will keep flowing and increasing. Study about your work, your skills, about money or investments and become wiser.

“Spend your money on the things money can buy. Spend your time on the things money can’t buy.” — Haruki Murakami (The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle)

Napoleon Hill’s 6 Steps to Turn Desires into Reality

Think and Grow Rich
Think and Grow RichKarmaLampoon / Foter / CC BY-NC

“Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.” — Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” is one of those few books that you can find on the recommended list of almost every successful person. In fact some even give this book truly deserving credit for their success. Think and Grow Rich is a life transforming book. It changes the reader thinking and behavior and gives the reader a push towards success.

“Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire brings a small amount of heat.” — Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill researched for 25 years and studied behavior of 500 successful people to find out the formula for success. This book was introduced in 1937 and it’s teachings is as much relevant today as it was in that time.

“An educated man is not, necessarily, one who has an abundance of general or specialized knowledge. An educated man is one who has so developed the faculties of his mind that he may acquire anything he wants, or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others.” — Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill is like a strict no-nonsense professor who wants all his students to thrive. This book is loaded with wisdom that we can apply in our life and become successful in any field we try. This is not some magic beans story or some baseless wishful thinking that can play with your head and emotions but a proper disciplined method of achieving great success.

“Whatever your mind can conceive, you can achieve.” — Napolean Hill

The people mentioned in this book are the most successful people in history and these principles, methods, habits or discipline are drown from their journey to achieve an extraordinary life.

Step 1: Fix in mind the exact amount of money you desire.

Step 2: Determined what you intend to give in return for the money you desire.

Step 3: Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

Step 4: Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not to put this plan into action.

Step 5: Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Step 6: Read your statement aloud, twice daily, once just before bed and once after rising in the morning. As you read see and feel and believe yourself already in possession of the money.

These steps are scrutinize and approved by Thomas A. Edison who gave his seal of approval on these steps not only to acquire riches but achieve any goal.

“Your only limitation is the one you set up in your own mind!” — Napolean Hill

How to Make an Amazing Movie for Effective Creative Visualization

The Director - A Young Walt Disney?

Since I uploaded “Movies – Making Creative Visualization Fun” post I got many queries about how I made my own mind movie; so I am making a detail post about the easy method I use to make my movie. The timing couldn’t be better as there are 3 Powerful Gifts but I will get to that at the end of this post.

First what is a mind movie? Well if I have to explain it in brief I will say it is a dynamic digital vision board with moving pictures and audio that you can watch on your computer or phone at least once a day to train your brain mainly the subconscious mind to focus on what is important to you so that you can live your dream life. It helps you to send out vibrations of the frequency of your goals or desires and attract them. It is positive programming your mind so you can achieve everything you desire. I call it creative visualization in a fun and easy way.

Step 1 – List your Desires:
Make a list of your desires in all major areas of life such as Health, Family, Wealth, Personal Goals like Travelling or Owning a particular property or Starting a business, Or any other field important to you

Step 2- Collect the material:
Collect your personal material like personal pictures or your favorite motivating song everything you would like to have in your mind movie. I have seen many examples of mind movies on YouTube where people make movies with lot of pictures of abundance, wealth and everything under the sun but not a single personal picture. Get few happy and healthy pictures of you and your family to give the movie a personal feel.

Step 3: Create your own mind movie:
Making a beautiful movie with Mind Movies is easy, simple and fast. All you have to do is make some clicks on the pictures and music of your choice and a beautiful video is created instantly. You get a wide range of pictures and even if you are not sure about the goals you want to put in your movie there is a lot of explanation on that too.
To know about how this exactly works I strongly advice to attend a free success seminar. It explains everything you need to know about creating a Mind Movie and its life changing benefits.
